I have been an employee of Troup ISD for over 30 years.  In August, 1975, I began working at Troup Elementary as a teacher’s aide.  In August, 1977, I began teaching second grade.  I taught in second grade for 28 years.  In August, 2005, I moved into a new position as a reading intervention teacher for grades K-3.  My entire teaching career has been spent at Troup ISD.  I cannot imagine a district that could be more supportive or encouraging of their faculty than Troup ISD.  We have a wonderful faculty and administration.

Being a teacher has been a dream of mine since I was a very young child.  I love working with children and watching them learn and grow.  They are open and honest with their thoughts and feelings.  I consider it a great honor to help them become the fine, upstanding, and productive citizens needed for tomorrow.

Changes occur almost constantly in education, but one thing has never changed for me.  I love teaching.  Teaching children is the most gratifying occupation in the world and I am proud to have a career that has proven to be both enjoyable and rewarding.
