About Mrs. Emmons
I believe that each child is unique and special. All children need to feel secure, cared for and stimulated in his/her environment in order to grow and mature. It is my goal as an educator to provide such a setting in my classroom. I incorporate hands-on, individual work, integrated units, and group work in order to assemble a classroom community of active learners. Teaching is a lifelong process of learning. Each year of my teaching experience provides me with new opportunities to cherish and enjoy the diversity of children.
I graduated from the University of Texas in Tyler Suma Cum Laude December of 2004. I began teaching second grade August of 2005 for the Troup Independent School District and have been privileged to remain in that grade level.
I love teaching 2nd grade!!!!!
