A Little About Me

In December of 2008, I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Tx.  I then moved to Tyler and made my way to Troup Elementary.  I love it here!  Recently I received my acceptance letter to Texas A&M to begin graduate school in the fall through the distance learning program.  I will be earning a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Behavioral Analysis Certification. My goal for the future is to become a director of special education.

I truly believe that all students can learn.  High expectations for every learner is essential for student success.  When a student enters my classroom, they are met with open arms, acceptance, and a passion for progress.  My goal is to provide every student with social, academic, emotional and physical  skills that will prepare them to function as independently as possible.  Being an advocate for inclusive classrooms, I also feel that my students should have as much access to the general education curriculum as possible.  Throughout the day you will find my students accompanied by a paraprofessional or myself participating in general education classrooms around the school.
