About Me:
I attended The University of Texas at Tyler where I graduated Cum Laude in July of 2006. In August of 2007 I started my first year teaching in Troup. This year will begin my fourth year in second grade. I am currently working on my Master’s degree through the University of Texas at Arlington. In May of 2013, I will graduate with a Curriculum and Instruction degree with a literacy emphasis.
In my classroom I strive to meet the needs of all learners. I know that what works for one students may not work for another, so I am constantly looking for new ways to reach each child. I take an active, hands-on approach to teaching and believe when students are actively engaged in what is being taught, optimal learning will occur. It is my goal for students to leave my classroom with a passion for learning.
