I am the daughter of Marlin and Beth Yates.  My father served in WWII and my mother owns her own alterations business at the age of 82. 

I graduated from Nacogdoches High School and married my high school sweetheart.  We will be married 27 years in November of 2010.  We have 3 children.  Two girls and one boy. 

I will celebrate 15 years of teaching 3rd grade this year.

Inside my classroom you will find  an environment filled with opportunities for hands-on learning, investigations, confidence, independence, and responsibility. An environment where the teacher is the facilitator as well as a model.
